Privacy policy
This policy explains, in plain language, what data Mizen processes, why, and what you can do about it. Publisher details will be completed before the app is released.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The publisher of Mizen, [legal entity, form and address to complete], is the data controller. You can reach us at contact@mizen.fit.
2. Data we process
This information relates to your health and lifestyle. We treat it as sensitive data.
- Account: email address, first name if you provide it. Sign-in uses a code sent by email; Mizen does not store any password.
- Nutrition profile: questionnaire answers (goal, habits, preferences, exclusions, declared allergies), height, weight, and activity level.
- Food journal: logged meals, foods, quantities, photos you choose to analyze, and voice notes converted to text.
- Technical operation: an identifier generated by the app, session token, language, and — if you enable them — a notification token.
3. Why we process it
We do not sell, rent, or use your data for advertising. The website and app include no advertising pixels or third-party audience analytics.
- Calculate your goals and track your meals — that is the service itself.
- Suggest recipes, programs, and recommendations adapted to your profile.
- Recognize foods in a photo or in a description.
- Notify you, only if you asked, about a message or invitation from your circle.
- Keep your account secure and the service running properly.
4. Food recognition and artificial intelligence
Photos and descriptions you submit may be analyzed by artificial intelligence services to identify foods. Nutritional values, however, are always calculated by our engine from reference databases — never generated by AI. You can see and correct every suggestion before saving it.
5. Sharing with other people
Circle features (invitations, messages, sharing a recipe or a day) only transmit what you explicitly choose to share, to the person you designate. You can revoke permission or block someone at any time.
6. Notifications
Notifications are off by default. If you turn them on, none display calories, weight, meal details, or other health data: they only indicate that something is waiting for you in the app. You can turn them off from My profile; signing out also disconnects the device concerned.
7. Retention
Your data is kept while your account exists. Deleting your account removes your profile, journal, preferences, and notification tokens. Expired sessions and inactive devices are purged automatically.
8. Your rights
You can access, export, correct, and delete your account directly from the app. For any other request, write to us at contact@mizen.fit. Depending on your country of residence, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
9. Hosting and security
Data is hosted on servers [hosting country and provider to complete]. Access uses encrypted, revocable sessions; mobile devices only talk to a dedicated gateway, never directly to the database.
10. Changes
This policy will evolve with the service. The update date appears at the top of the page; important changes will be highlighted in the app.
